EFFECTS OF A PARTLY INSERTED ABSORBING ROD ON THE DENSITY DISTRIBUTION OF A NEUTRON FLUX (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Atomnaya Energ.
OSTI ID:4105341
A calculational method is suggested for evaluating the efficiency of a cylindrical control rod partially inserted into an unreflected reactor. The method affords a relatively simple calculation of the neutron flux density in the vicinity of the rod. A one-group equation. DELTA ? + B/sup 2/? = 0, with special boundary conditions at the rod surface is used. The value B/sup 2/ and the corresponding flux distribution ? are calculated for various rod positions. (tr-auth)
