PWR electrical supply operating rules determined by probabilistic approach (in French)

The 6,6 kV(e) supply of the safety systems for 900 MW(e) PWR plants is achieved by four redundant sources either external or internal to the plant site. The method presented gives by a probabilistic approach, a means to determine the acceptable delays for functioning when one (or more) of the four sources is unavailable. Power operation values between 12 to 36h when an external source is unavailable and between 150 to 240 h in the event of unavailability of one external source were obtained. (FR)
