THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF UO$sub 2$ IMPROVES AT HIGH TEMPERATURES

Journal Article · · Nucleonics (U.S.) Ceased publication
OSTI ID:4094338
The thermal conductivity (k) of sintered UO/sub 2/ is studied from 300 to 3000 deg K. The value of k decreases with temperature up to llOO deg C, but at 1400 deg C and above the value of k increases with temperature. A theoretical explanation of this increase is given. (T.F.H.)
