Sr/sup 89/, Sr/sup 90/, Cs/sup 137/, and plutorium in precipitation collected at Deep River, Ontario, were measured for the 10-year period ending December, 1982. The accumulated deposit, in mc/km/sup 2/, amounted to 34 mc of Sr/sup 90/, 53 mc of Cs/sup 137/, and 0.5 mc of plutonium. The mean concentration of Sr/sup 90/ in rain (and snow) for the same period was 4.2 pc/l. Using these results, the 30-year infinite plane gamma -dose from fallout deposited prior to 1963 was calculated to be 27 mrem. It is shown that this calculation applies to all of southern Canada.
