The regular character of the evolution of the rare earth composition (Ce yields Nd, Gd, Dy yields Yb yields Dy, Gd, Nd yields Ce) in successively formed rock types of the metasomatically altered granitoids is the same as in successively crystallized minerals of pegamatites. The possible cause of such evolution of the rare earth composition is the geochemical differentiation of rare earth elements migrating as complex compounds under conditions of regular acidity variations in postmagmatic mineral-forming solutions.
