X-Irradiation of the Giant Amoeba, Pelomyxa illinoisensis: III. Electron Microscopy of Centrifuged Organisms

Journal Article · · Radiation Research
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2307/3571058· OSTI ID:4089862
The electron microscope was used to study the strata in nonirradiated centrifuged donor amoebae with a view toward learning more about the areas that have demonstrated restorative capability after their transfer into supralethally irradiated amoebae. Strata that are characteristic of the centrifuged organisms are described in sequence from the centripetal to the centrifugal pole.
