The usual treatment of electromagnetic fields generated when photoelectrons are ejected from satellite surfaces describes these fields as either external (SGEMP), when the sources are externally ejected electrons or internal (IEMP), when the sources are ejected internal to the satellite structure. In this paper the main thrust is to investigate the coupling to the interior from external sources. (auth)
