NEW ISOTOPES WITH A SHORT PERIOD OBTAINED BY THE SPALLATION OF GOLD (in French)

OSTI ID:4087233
During a study of the spallation of gold, mercury isotopes of mass 185 to 190 and their descendents were obtained after double electromagnetic separation. The short-lived isotopes with mass 187, 186, and 185 were observed by a scintillator at the interior of the separator. The analyses of the gamma spectra and the decomposition of the decay curves have permitted the evaluation of periods and the energy of the principal gamma rays. The period and the energy of the principal gamma rays of the isotopes 190, 189, 188, 187, 186, and 185 of mercury, gold, and platinum are tabulated. (J.S.R.)
