A LOW ENERGY BETA PROBE
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4085555
A probe (A.E.R.E. type 1667) was designed for the detection and measurement of low-energy beta radiation. The probe has an efficiency of 14% for C/sup 14/ and 28% for Sr/sup 90/ The detecting area is over a 5-in.-diam. circle and the design is suitable for use with most standard ratemeters. (auth)
