Chapter I. General Principles of Magneto-Fluid Dynamics

The fundamental equations of magnetohydrodynamics are presented. Properties of a magnetic field are outlined. The steady motion of an inviscid, compressible, perfectly conducting fluid in the presence of an aligned magnetic field and hydromagnetic waves are considered. Approximation methods are also given.
