DOI:https://doi.org/10.1143/JPSJ.15.2137· OSTI ID:4083493
Weak gamma rays following the decay of Mn/sup 51/ were investigated by a NaI(Tl) scintillation spectrometer. To eliminate the effect of the strong annihilation gamma ray, a new method was used. Gamma rays of 0.74 and l.17 Mev were found and these intensities were 0.4 plus or minus 0.2 and 0.2 plus or minus 0.1% of the positrons, respectively. The half life of Mn/sup 51/ was determined as 44 plus or minus 1 min. (auth)
