Techniques were developed for the hot extrusion of thinwalled, 3-inch- diameter, Zircaloy-4 housing tubes with four internal ribs. The as-extruded tubes were corrosion resistant and met specified dimensions. Close tolerance dimensional reproducibility was demonstrated in the extrusion of a number of tubes. (auth)
