THE DETERMINATION OF RADIUM AT LOW CONCENTRATION IN WATERS BY SCINTILLATION COUNTING OF ELECTRODEPOSITED DECAY PRODUCTS OF RADON (in Czech)

Journal Article · · Jaderna energie
OSTI ID:4083068
A scintillation device was designed on the basis of electrodeposition of decay products of radon and calibrated for the measurement of low concentrations of radium in waters without preliminary chemical treatment. The sensitivity of the method at prescribed voluminal relations and the natural background corresponds to the content of 6.3 x 10/sup -14/ g radium in 1 liter of water after a 4day accumulation. The relations for the efficiency and the target activity increase in time were derived. (auth)
