AN ITERATIVE METHOD FOR NEUTRON TRANSPORT PROBLEMS WITH SPHERICAL SYMMETRY

An iterative methed developed previously for transport problems with plane symmetry has been extended to problems with spherical symmetry. Particular application has been made to the problem of the neutron distribution for a black sphere embedded in a purely scattering medium with sources at irfinity. The results compare favorahly wlth those of other workers for this problem. (auth)
