Results are reported from a survey of the soap and synthetic detergent manufacturing industry to determine the potential for applying radioisotope techiques to research, development, and manufacturing problems. Present uses and possible future applications were surveyed. Details of the soap and synthetic detergent manufacturing processes are reviewed.
