NEW NEUTRON DEFICIENT ISOTOPES OF KRYPTON

Journal Article · · J. Inorg. & Nuclear Chem.

Two new activities were found in the neutron-deficient isotopes of krypton produced by STAp,xn! reactions on bromine. The half lives were determined to be 12.0 plus or minus 1.0 min and 5.5 plus or minus 0.4 min. The activities are assigned to Kr/sup 74/ and Kr/sup 75/, respectively, on the basis of their genetic relationships with bromine isotopes. The isotepe Br/sup 74/ was observed to emit a pesitron with a maximum energy of 4.7 Mev, and the half life of this isotope is 25.7 plus or minus 0.9 min. (auth)
