LIGHT ISOTOPES OF RUBIDIUM FORMED IN $sup 3$He BOMBARDMENTS OF BROMINE

Journal Article · · J. Inorg. & Nuclear Chem.

A light isotope of rubidium Rb/sup 79/, first was prepared along with Rb/ sup 81/ and Rb/sup 82/ by bombarding bromine with He/sup 3/ ions at 27 Mev. The mass asssignent made b the earlier workers was fully confirmed by a genetic experiment and characterization of the Kr/sup 79/ daughter. The half life is 20.9 plus or minus 0.8 min. (auth)
