Distribution of Strontium-90 in a 1959 Wheat Sample

At least 22% of the Sr/sup 90/ found in a sample of wheat harvested in 1959 was due to direct deposition. Of the total Sr/sup 90/ content of this wheat sample, 27% was contained in the outermost bran layer.
