Gap flows in a rarefied plasma on the basis of the magnetohydrodynamic equations of Chew, Goldberger, and Low are discussed. A classification of gaps is presented. Formulas were obtained connecting the jumps in the values de scribing the gap between them, as well as for the velocities of gap distribution. (auth)
