SWEPT-FREQUENCY RADIO OBSERVATIONS AT THE TIME OF THE NUCLEAR EXPLOSION OVER JOHNSTON ISLAND OF JULY 9, 1962

Journal Article · · Australian J. Phys.
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1071/PH630584· OSTI ID:4077519
The sudden ionospheric disturbance that occurred at the moment of detonation of the high-altitude explosion over Johnston Island was recorded with a 5-210 Mc radiospectrograph. The fadeouts caused by the explosion were compared with solar-induced fadeouts. (C.E.S.)
