A STUDENT EXPERIMENT IN MEASURING NEUTRON FLUX BY FOIL ACTIVATION

Journal Article · · Res. Reactor J.
OSTI ID:4076901
An experiment is described that involves using neutrons to activate a stack of thin foils that simulates a thick foil, counting the individual thin foils, obtaining beta absorpti on and refiection curves, and then synthesizing a value for the thick-foil activity to compare to the actual measurement of this activity.
