Study of radioactive decay Tm168 (in Russian)
Measurements were made on Tm168 (T = 87 days) containing Tm167 (T = 9.6 days), Tm166 (T = 7.7 hr), and T< s1>s65 (T = 29 hr). Conversion lines with energies of 57, 208, and 536 kev were observed in the Tm167 spectrum; 9 conversion electron lines were observed in the Tm168 spectrum. The k-line (304 kev) observed in the Tm168 spectrum has not been observed previously. The boundary energy of the beta spectrum (E0 = 940 plus or minus 20 kev) was determined by a Fermi plot. The ratio of solid intensity spectra and conversion lines I beta /IL+M-80= 0.45 (44 days following the irradia tion) considering the boundary energy also corresponds to the beta - energy of Tm170(T = 129 days), there is a possibility that the solid spsctrum belongs to Tm170. In case the observed solid spectra belongs to Tm168, then 81% of all decays in Tm168 belongs to electron capture and 19% to beta - decay, indicating a Tm168/Tm170 yield ratio in deep tant alum spallation of 100:30.
