Miami River Watershed Project: terrestrial studies

Soil samples were collected at one to five miles from the laboratory to determine the distribution of $sup 238$Pu around Mound Laboratory. Fractionation studies of soils were initiated to determine the distribution in the soil relative to particle size. Gross movement of $sup 239$Pu in the Miami River watershed is being monitored through analysis of suspended sediments and filtered water samples. (HLW)
