Calculations of the Neutron Age in Water and Heavy Water for D-D Sources

Calculations of the age to indium resonance of neutrons from the reaction D(d,n)He3 in water and heavy water are performed by the Monte Carlo method. The calculations are designed to simulate experiments. The effect of the duct used to lead the deuteron beam into the medium is investigated. The computations show agreement with experimental results.
