REVIEW OF EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL STUDIES CONCERNING THE AGE OF FISSION NEUTRONS IN HEAVY WATER
The most reliable experimental value for the age of fission neutrons to indium resonance in 99.8% D/sub 2/O appears to be 109 fate solution a 3 cm/sup 2/. Other work is in close agreement, ranging from 104 to 111 cm/sup 2/. Simple numerical integration calculations fall in this range. Monte: Carlo estimates are likewise in good agreement but the full effects of anisotropic scattering have not yet been included in these calculations. (auth)
