Various welding methods for niobium are discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of resistance, ultrasonic, and diffusion welding are evaluated. Tables are given comparing electron-beam and tungsten-inert-gas welding, showing how argon affects weldability, and giving results of tests of fusion welding and spot welding on niobium alloys FS-82 and FS-48.
