THE Zr$sup 95$-Nb$sup 95$ SEPARATION FROM FISSION PRODUCT SOLUTION BY THE SORPTION ON SILICA GEL (in Czech)

Journal Article · · Jaderna Energie
OSTI ID:4057075
The possibility of quantitative Zr/sup 95/--Nb/sup 95/ isolation on silica gel was investigated for dependence on nitric acid concentration and silica gel grain size. The elution of microamounts and macroamounts of zirconium from the silica gel column was also investigated. The capacity for zirconium in a dynamic set of conditions and the retention after many sorption-elution cycles were found. The sorption of other long-lived fission products such as Cs/sup 137/ , Ce/sup 144/, Sr/sup 90/, and Ru/sup 106/ present in wastes from nuclear fuel recovery was investigated under the same set of conditions.
