Progress in the study of the effects of neutron irradiation upon the properties of structural materials is reported. Data on the effects of several experimental variables on the observed recovery of properties of irradiated steels, the notch ductility of the SL-1 reactor pressure vessel, and the results of neutron environmental survey of the SM-1A reactor are presented. Equipment and procedures for in-reactor experimentation and for postirradiation evaluation of irradiated materials are described. (auth)
