ANGULAR DISTRIBUTIONS OF THE $sup 19$F(d,p)$sup 20$F REACTION AND ANGULAR MOMENTUM ASSIGNMENTS TO EXCITED STATES OF $sup 20$F

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B

The ground and fourteen excited states of /sup 20/F were analyzed through (d,p) reactions in /sup 19/F. The use of a double broad-range magnetic spectrograph technique provides a marked improvement in the angular distributions obtained. At least twelve of these angular distributions show definite stripping patterns. Neutron capture angular momenta 1/sub n/ = 2 could be assigned to the ground, first, fifth, eighth, and ninth excited states of /sup 20/F; 1/sub n/ = 0 values could be associated to levels 2, 4, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15.
