DISSOCIATION OF n-PROPANOL MOLECULE IONS FORMED IN CHARGE EXCHANGE COLLISIONS WITH POSITIVE IONS

Mass spectra of n-propanol were obtained after charge exchange with slow positive ions. The intensities of the peaks were plotted as a function of the energy absorbed by the molecule during the charge exchange. Integration of these curves gives a mass spectrum in good agreement with that obtained in electron impact. Ion--molecule reactions were observed at low velocity of the incident ions. (auth)
