DISTRIBUTION OF NITRIC ACID BETWEEN TRI-N-BUTYL PHOSPHATE AND WATER

Journal Article · · J. Appl. Chem. (London)
The distribution of nitric acid between water and both 20 and 30% v/v solutions of tri-n-butyl phosphate in odorless kerosene at 20 and 25 deg C was studied systematically up to aqueous phase concentrations of 10 moles per liter. An equation was derived to represent the distribution up to aqueous phase concentrations of 4 moles per liter. (auth)
