INTERMEDIATE VECTOR MESONS AND UNITARY SYMMETRY

Journal Article · · Phys. Letters

A theory is formulated of the weak interaction in connection with the unitary symmetry model by introducing charged and neutral intermediate vector mesons. It is assumed that weak baryonic currents or the interaction are components of some unitary octet and that the resulting effective interaction of nonleptonic, strangeness-violating processes is also a component of another unitary octet. Four distinct vector mesons are used to satisfy the theory. (R.E.U.)
