/cap alpha/-PARTICLE BRANCHING RATIOS FOR NEUTRON-DEFICIENT ASTATINE ISOTOPES

Journal Article · · J. Inorg. & Nuclear Chem.
The ratio of the number of alpha -particle disintegrations to the total number of disintegrations ( alpha -branching ratio) was measured for At/sup 202// sup to2//sup 06/. The values of these ra tios are 0.120 for At/sup 202/, 0.138 for At/sup 203/, 0.0452 for At/sup 204/ , 0.184 for At/sup 205/, and 0.0088 for At/sup 206/. The over-all half lives are in agreement with previously reported values except for that of At/sup 206/, which was found to have a half life of 29.5 min rather than the reported 22 min. (auth)
