Report on the activities of the ASME research committee on water in thermal power systems

In the Research Committee's report presented during the American Power Conference in 1974, the alignment into three subcommittees--Utility, Industrial Boiler, and Aqueous Discharge--was described. The decision to abandon a relatively large number of subcommittees of limited scope in favor of three of wide and timely interest has proven to be a wise one. Consequently, the Research Committee has made accelerated progress toward the achievement of its mandate of seeking out areas where research is needed. A review of the activities of each of the Subcommittees is presented. (auth)
