Advisory committee on lignite research, development and demonstration

The findings of the Committee on Lignite Research are reported. The committee's mandate is comprised of five directives. The first requires the Committee to assess the development of Texas lignite technology over the next twenty-five years. The second seeks an identification of the proper roles the State should assume in supporting lignite research, development and demonstration. The third and fourth solicit exploration of the mechanisms by which the state should involve itself in lignite RD and D and the level of funding the state should authorize to implement such mechanisms. The fifth encourages consultation with public and private entities.
