A cell for liquid-moderated and -cooled reactors is designed for taking up a minimum of space while preventing stress and vibrations. The cell has an upper support which rests on a fixed member at the top of the reactor and a bottom member connected to the support by means of elastic linkages and centered in recesses in the base of the reactor. The embodiment of the cell that is described is designed for a heavy water reactor. (D.L.C.)
