FURTHER REMARKS ON THE PROPOSED $mu$-e SELECTION RULE

Additive and multiplicative mu -e selection rules are considered. It is found that certain reactions, such as mu -e + gamma , mu yields e + e + e, and mu + (nucleus) yields e + (nucleus), are forbidden under both selection rules, while other reactions, including e/sup +/ + mu /sup -/ yields e/sup -/ + mu /sup +/ and e/sup +/ + e/sup +/ yields mu < s+ mu +>s are forbidden by the additive law, but allowed by the multiplicative law. It is proposed that several of these reactions be studied for determination of the additive or multiplicative nature of the mu -e selection rule. (T.F.H.)
