e{sup +}e{sup -}{yields}{mu}{sup +}{mu}{sup -}{gamma}{gamma} events at LEP and prospects for searches for such events at future e{sup +}e{sup -} colliders

Anomalous e{sup +}e{sup -}{yields}{mu}{sup +}{mu}{sup -}{gamma}{gamma} events detected by the L3 detector at the CERN LEP e{sup +}e{sup -} collider are analyzed. It is shown that the interpretation of such events as the production of a scalar (pseudoscalar) resonance of mass 60 GeV followed by decay through the {gamma}{gamma} channel contradicts other experimental data. Under the assumption that this resonance exists, prospects for its discovery in certain processes at future e{sup +}e{sup -} colliders are considered. 11 refs., 4 figs.
