THE C$sup 13$(d,n)N$sup 14$ REACTION

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.

The time-of-flight method was used to measure angular distributions and excitation functions for the neutrons emitted to form the ground and first six excited states of Nil in the C/sup 13/(d,n)N/sup 14/ reaction. The properties of the 4.91 and 5.69 Mev N/sup 14/ levels were consistent with the weak coupling configuration (C/sup 13/2s/sub 1/2/,). The nature of the 5.10 and 5.83 Mev levels remains in doubt.
