Ultrasound-velocity characteristics as the functions of the bias field for as-quenched state and after annealing at a temperature of 300 C in air for 1 b are presented for Fe{sub 73.5}Cu{sub 1}T{sub 3}Si{sub 13.5}B{sub 9} metallic glasses (where T = Cr, Zr, Sb, Ta, Nb, W, V). The highest changes of sound velocities were observed for T = Nb and Ta. Annealing below the Curie point (about 320 C) partially removes internal stresses and improves piezomagnetic properties.
