Hematological changes in guinea pigs irradiated during hibernation were studied. As regards red cells they found a less severe anemia, and similarly a less pronounced anisocytosis and poikilocytosis. As regards white cells they found a less severe leucopenia with relative neutrophilia. Artificial hibernation not only reduces the amount of hematological damage, but also retards its appearance.
