Results of studies on the variation in room-temperature Young's modulus with heat treatment are reported for Pitch-impregnated carbon rods. Heating and cooling curves for the dependence of the Young's modulus on temperature as the sample is consecutively heat treated to higher temperatures are presented. Other data on thermal conductivlty and thermal diffusivity are also given. (J.R.D.)
