Results of further determinations of the Poisson ratio for graphite rods are reported, and the data for Young's modulus and permanent set determinations as a function of heattreatment temperature for two special series of rods made with graphitized filler (soft and hard) and soft binder are presented. A calibration procedure used with the hightemperature elasticity equipment and the details of improved high-temperatare equipment for determination of heat conductivity are described. A discussion of the discrepancy of results between calculated heat diffusivity coefficients and values determined from experimental data is also included. (For preceding period see NP-8280.) (J.R.D.)
