PLUTONIUM RECYCLE TEST REACTOR GAS LOOP ANALYSIS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4010763
A study was made to determine the transient response of the Plutonium Recycle Test Reactor (PRTR) Gas Loop using automatic control. The results of the analog study, recommended controller settings and computer techniques used in studying the system are presented. Data indicated that the system, using the recommended controller settings, will be stable. A reactor scram would introduce sizeable temperature transients into the loop, but the temperature would decrease at the prescribed rate sfter the transients expired. Controller failure would decrease the gas temperature. A description of the system and the analog simulator is included. (M.C.G.)
