Progress is reported in studies on the in vitro effects of x radiation on the nucleic acids of horse leukocytes and blood platelets. Results are reported from a series of studies on the protective effects of glutathione against a lethal dose of x radiation in guinea pigs. Possible reaction mechanisms involved are discussed. Good results are reported from preliminary studies on the protective effects against radiation injuries in guinea pigs of sodium salt of ribonucleic acid. A list is included of publications during the period. (C.H.)
