The nature of the ionospheric layers and phenomena such as geomagnetism, ionospheric currents, ionospheric storms, and solar disturbances are covered. A treatment of the principles governing collisions, diffusion, movements of charged particles in magnetic fields, and electromagnetic, hydromagnetic, and electro-acoustic waves is also included.
