TWO CROSS SECTION LIBRARIES FOR USE WITH MAC SHIELDING CODE
Two tabulations of cross sections and group constants for 77 elements and seven isotopes are presented in format arranged for direct input to MAC code problems. The absorption, elastic scattering, and inelastic scattering neutron cross sections are given in 15 and 31 group energy-lethargy structures. The additional group constants are common to both neutron libraries and include: gamma mass attenuation coefficients (7 group), energy dependent removal cross sections (18 group), neutron and gamma flux to dose conversion factors, Taylor buildup factors, and the gamma produced pe r neutron capture per nuclide. The methods used to calculate and estimate the group averaged neutron cross sections and constants are discussed. (auth)
