Measurements have been made of the Cs/sup 137/ content of man and of milk and of the Zr/sup 95/ and Cs/sup 137/ activity of airborne dust. They show that the Cs/sup 137/ content of man went through a maximum of 67 mu mu c/g K in the fall of 1959, and that the Cs/sup 137/ content of milk reached a low of 7.5 mu mu c/g K in September 1960. The results suggest stratospheric and tropospheric residence times of 2 years and 2 months respectively. (auth)
