A FAST SCALER FOR PULSED ACCELERATORS

A fast scaler using the principle of adding standardized pulses with a diode integrating circuit is built and tested for experiments conducted with a pulsed linear accelerator. With this scaler, it is possible to count an average of one event per machine pulse of duration 10>s-/sup > /c, with a counting loss smaller than 1%. The resolution time of the scaler is approximately 10>s-/sup > / c. (auth)
