Much of the development work in the past year has been concerned with finding solutions to design problems in alpha-gamma-neutron facilities, developing techniques for fabricatirg special research equipment for precise operation and measurement, and reducing the cost and manpower requirements for particular field and mairtenance operations. The information is presented under the headings of engineering development, fabrication development, and field services development. Reference is made to the program or division for which the work was accomplished. The name of a cortact in the Engineering and Mechanical Division for further information on a particular problem is noted. A brief index of problems is presented as a cross-reference to the Table of Contents. Comments or suggestions from readers as to other areas of information of interest to particular programs are welcomed. (auth)
